Xing Chen is a Professor at Institute of Molecular Plus at Tianjin University (TJU). Prior to joining the faculty, she was an Assistant Research Professor at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU).

Xing obtained her Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. After doing a short-term postdoctoral research with Prof. Yi Luo at KTH, she joined Prof. Lasse Jensen group at PSU as a postdoctoral scholar.

 

Xing's research interests focus on the method development to understand the underlying physics and chemistry involved in matter-light interactions at nanoscale. Particularly,  the research interests lie on the plasmonic response of metallic nanoparticles, plasmon-enhanced spectroscopy and plasmon-assisted chemical reaction.
